According to a study by the International Council for Clean Transportation (ICCT), 70% of petrol consumption in 2021 was used for road transport and 25% for two-wheelers. The study said that if the number of two-wheelers running on petrol increases, then by 2050 the dependence on fossil fuels will more than double.
