Do children become more ill because of this mistake of parents?

Kids Health : Do children fall ill again and again due to the mistakes of their parents? A teacher claims that the reason why children are falling sick more is because their parents do not allow them to come in contact with any bacteria in their childhood. The teacher’s claim came in response to a viral video of a grandmother holding her newborn granddaughter in her arms.

In the video, the grandmother asks the child’s parents if she is allowed to kiss the top of his head. Before she could complete her question, the parents refused. In such a situation, the question arises whether children really become ill if they come in contact with any bacteria. Let us know the whole matter…

Are children getting sick due to the fault of their parents?

In the viral video, when asked about the grandmother kissing the child, the girl’s mother says, ‘If your face comes closer than it is now, then I will have to remove the child from you.’ Teacher’s husband Robbie Harvey, while reacting to the grandmother’s video, said, ‘My wife is a teacher and she says that in the last few years, she is seeing more children falling ill.’ The teacher’s wife says that the reason why children remain ill for a long time is that today’s parents have completely isolated their children from bacteria, due to which their immunity has become weak.

Do children really get sick from exposure to bacteria?

Reaction of some users has also been seen on this video. He says that the immune system of a new born baby is too delicate to bring them in contact with any kind of germs.

A TikTok user wrote on this – ‘My 3 month old baby was diagnosed with RSV and after being kissed by a family member, he was taken to a hospital three hours away, he was treated for two days. That’s why children should not be kissed. At the same time, another user wrote – ‘When children are small, they are still developing their immune system. I was like this with both my children who were born in the disease season. I let people hold them but not kiss them.

Leave the tension of bacteria, children will not get sick

Other users told parents that they can strengthen their children’s immune system by reducing their worries about germs. Another user wrote – ‘My children are small, there is farming work at home, they spend most of the time in dirt and with animals. Every member of my family loves him, kisses him, he is fed everything we eat, he has no allergies nor has he ever needed to be given antibiotics. Another user further wrote- ‘I have never kept my children away from family and friends. Since birth, they have been around people and bacteria. They rarely get sick.’

Which children are more at risk of disease and infection?

Newborn children are at greater risk of infection and disease. Johns Hopkins Medicine said that newborn babies do not have time to develop an immune system, so they are more at risk of infection from both bacteria and viruses. This includes serious infections like sepsis and meningitis, especially because they have not been vaccinated yet. He believes that children should not be kissed and attention should be paid to cleanliness around them. “Anyone with fever, runny nose, cough, diarrhea or other symptoms should not meet a child until they have fully recovered,” he said.
