Chandipura Virus: Transmitted by mosquitoes, ticks and sand flies, the first outbreak in India occurred in Maharashtra in 1965.
Dengue: The first outbreak in India, transmitted by Aedes aegypti or Aedes albopictus, occurred in Chennai in 1780.
Japanese Encephalitis: An emerging viral infection in India.
