Dharmarao Baba Atram is an MLA from Aheri seat. While joining Sharad faction, Bhagyashree said that when her father was kidnapped by Naxalites, it was Sharad Pawar who ensured his safe return. She said, “This is my way of expressing gratitude (to Sharad Pawar).”
It is known that in 1991, Naxalites kidnapped Dharmarao Atram and kept him hostage. Naxalites were demanding the release of their supporters from jail and at that time Sharad Pawar was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Bhagyashree Atram expressed regret that her father (Dharmarao Atram) had left Sharad Pawar after the NCP split in Maharashtra and the Ajit Pawar faction joined the Mahayuti.

After inducting Dharmarao Atram’s daughter into his party, Jayant Patil said that Bhagyashree did not approve of her father’s decision. He said, “We postponed her (Bhagyashree) return to the party because we wanted to see if she was firm on her decision.”
MVA will contest on all seats
Along with this, Jayant Patil also said that the opposition alliance ‘Maha Vikas Aghadi’ (MVA) will form the next government in the state and will fight to win all the seats. The alliance includes Sharad Pawar’s NCP-SP, Congress and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena-UBT.
