Coup in Bangladesh: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned from her post after heavy pressure and has moved to a safe place. Pakistani expert Qamar Cheema has put forth his views on this issue. He said that a new power has emerged in Bangladesh which Sheikh Hasina could not counter. He said that the protests in Bangladesh were named student protests but there is someone else behind them.
Kamar Cheema said that Sheikh Hasina resigning like this is a big deal for South Asia and all of us. He said that no one could know how the protest that started in Bangladesh demanding the removal of reservation turned into an anti-government movement. He said that he did not expect at all that Sheikh Hasina would have to resign. Cheema said that Hasina did not act smartly in this. He said that if she felt that such a ruckus could happen, then she should have resigned earlier. This would have led to re-elections.
India-Pakistani expert stands with Bangladesh
Kamar Cheema said that since the independence of Bangladesh, India has been continuously supporting Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina and PM Modi have good relations. Modi has invited Sheikh Hasina as a state guest. Cheema said that the way the coup has happened in Bangladesh, its worst effect will be on the economy of Bangladesh. He said that when the politics of a country becomes unstable, it falls behind.
A new power was born in Bangladesh- Cheema
