CJI Sanjeev Khanna: The country’s new Chief Justice Justice Sanjiv Khanna called taking the oath of office an opportunity of honor. An official press note issued by the Supreme Court on Monday (November 11) said that the Chief Justice is feeling proud of the opportunity to play the role of the head of the third pillar of democracy. He has said, “The judiciary is an integral part of the system, but it is independent. The Constitution gives the judiciary the role of constitutional guardian and protector of fundamental rights. The important responsibility of delivering justice rests on the judiciary.”

Emphasizing the impartiality of the justice system, the 51st Chief Justice of India said, “The justice system provides equal opportunities to all, regardless of the economic or social status of the people. She is fair towards everyone. This is its basic principle.” He has said that the judiciary is dedicated to protecting the rights of the people and fair settlement of disputes.

‘Providing justice to every citizen of the country will be a priority’
