Delhi Fire: A fire broke out at the coaching center in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar on Thursday (June 15). The students had to escape from the window of the coaching center to save their lives. Some students were also injured in this accident. Describing the cause of the fire, officials said that in the initial investigation, it has been found that the meter on the ground floor of the building was on fire, whose smoke had spread to the entire building. In this matter, further investigation is being done by registering a case under section 336/337/338/120B/34 of IPC in police station Mukherjee Nagar.,

200-250 students were present in the building

Delhi Police spokesperson Suman Nalwa said that the fire started from the electric meter of the building and the smoke spread to the other floors, as soon as the smoke came out, there was chaos in the entire building, after which the students tried to come out of the building through the windows. and some of them got injuries. In this accident, 60 people injured were admitted to 3 hospitals for treatment, out of which about 50 people were discharged. The district crime team inspected the spot and also did photography. At the time of this incident, 200-250 students were present in various coaching centers operating in the building.

Students came out of the windows after the commotion

Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg said that the fire was reported at 12.27 pm, after which 11 vehicles were sent to the spot and relief and rescue operations were started. The fire department had also shared a video of the incident in which people can be seen getting out through the windows. Smoke can also be seen coming out of the building. Students who came out of the window were seen throwing their bags and helping each other. After the fire incident, a large number of people gathered on the ground floor of the building. Fire department officials said that fire tenders engaged in relief and rescue work have brought the fire under control.
