Does Eknath Shinde have the power to become Nitish Kumar of Maharashtra?

Shiv Sena spokesperson Naresh Mhaske says that Eknath Shinde should remain in the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Whereas BJP leader Praveen Darekar has taken the name of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for the post of CM.

BJP has won maximum 132 seats in the elections, after which there was speculation about Devendra Fadnavis becoming the Chief Minister. Whereas Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena won 57 seats. Regarding this, Shiv Sena spokesperson Naresh Mhaske says that Eknath Shinde should remain the CM in Maharashtra. Just like in Bihar, BJP did not focus on numerical strength and made Nitish Kumar of Janata Dal United the Chief Minister.

What is Nitish model?

Nitish model means that there are 243 assembly seats in Bihar, in which NDA has 137 MLAs. In this, BJP has 80 MLAs and Janata Dal United has 45 MLAs. Despite BJP having more seats here, Nitish Kumar is still sitting on the chair. This is what Shiv Sena leaders are calling “Nitish Model”, in which despite having less MLAs, Shinde will have the CM chair just like Nitish Kumar.

Will BJP sideline Shinde?

On the other hand, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut had claimed that BJP will sideline Eknath Shinde after achieving its objective. On this too, Naresh Mhaske said that Shinde has established himself and his name is at the forefront among popular leaders.

‘Fadnavis should become CM’

Minister Deepak Kesarkar in the present government also Eknath Shinde Met him on Sunday and talked about his continuing as CM. He also said, “The people of Maharashtra have given the mandate to Devendra Fadnavis. The people of Maharashtra are standing behind PM Modi. My opinion is that Fadnavis should become CM. “Fadnavis kept the alliance united, gave candidates to allies and even backed down when necessary.”
