Bihar Land Survey 2024: The land survey is going to start in Bihar from 20 August 2024. Many kinds of questions are arising in the minds of the people regarding this. Which form to fill, which documents to keep ready, what to show to the survey team, there are all kinds of such questions. In such a situation, know which documents you have to keep ready before the land survey. What documents are required by the applicant for self declaration.
If we talk about which documents to keep ready at the time of land survey, then it is being told that there are four-five things that need to be taken care of. You will have to keep the land receipt (in whose name it is), copy of registry, account khatian or map of the old land.

The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has also started an online process for this. A website is also available for this. There is an app named Bihar Survey Tracker from the mobile’s Play Store, you can download it and take advantage of the service. All survey services are available online. For land survey, you (the applicant) have to give a self-declaration letter for your land. There is also a facility to upload self-declaration and genealogy online. A date of one month has been fixed for this. The details of the land have to be filled in Form 2 and submitted. Apart from online, this work can also be done through offline process by going to the camps organized in the districts.
What documents should the applicant keep ready?
First of all, know that when you fill the form as an applicant, there are annexures in it. That is, which documents have to be attached with it. Its list is given below.
1) Date of death/death certificate of deceased Jamabandi Raiyat
2) Statement of Jamabandi number/Malguzari Receipt number with year
3) Copy of Khatian (if available)
4) Details of documents related to claimed land
5) If there is an order of a competent court, then a true copy of the order
6) Certificate regarding the heir of the applicant or the person acquiring the interest i.e. the deceased (This means that you are the rightful heir. You have to provide a certificate for the land to be in your name only)
7) Photocopy of applicant’s Aadhaar card
8) Photocopy of voter ID card of the applicant
Why was there a need for land survey?
Let us tell you that this is not a process to snatch land. There will be no confusion anywhere. Whatever confusion there was will be eliminated. This is being done so that the land that is yours remains yours. Apart from this, the right land will go to the right person. Along with this, the land dispute cases that used to come up will also end.
