Today is the day to decide the fate of 90 candidates on nine assembly seats. From 8 am today on the seats of Katehari (Ambedkar Nagar), Karhal (Mainpuri), Mirapur (Muzaffarnagar), Ghaziabad, Majhwan (Mirzapur), Sisamau (Kanpur City), Khair (Aligarh), Phulpur (Prayagraj) and Kundarki (Moradabad). Let us tell you that earlier by-elections were proposed on ten assembly seats of UP, but due to legal complications in Milkipur seat of Ayodhya, by-elections were held only on nine seats. Out of these nine seats, MLAs became MPs by winning the Lok Sabha elections, while from Sisamau seat of Kanpur, the situation of by-election was created after the outgoing SP MLA Irfan Solanki was sentenced to seven years in the arson case.
