People’s problems increased due to scorching heat, heat wave and strong winds in Delhi, how will the weather be today?

The entire North India including Delhi is facing the scorching heat and heat wave. Due to this, normal life has become disrupted. For people, going out of the house has become like getting heated in a fiery furnace. The condition of Delhi is even worse. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there does not seem to be any respite from the heat in the capital in the coming days. There will be severe heat in Delhi on Saturday (April 25) and the general public will face problems due to heat wave.

According to the Meteorological Department, there has not been much change in the maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi in the last 24 hours. During this period, the minimum temperature was recorded between 23 to 26 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was recorded between 42–43 degrees Celsius. However, in many areas of Delhi the temperature was 1.6 to 3.0 degrees Celsius above normal.

How will be the temperature of Delhi today?

According to IMD, the minimum temperature of Delhi is expected to be between 25 to 27 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be between 42 to 44 degrees Celsius. During this period the wind speed is expected to be 15–25 km/hour. Today the sky is likely to be partly cloudy and there may be strong winds and dust storms in some areas, which is likely to affect visibility. Overall, today is expected to be a very hot day for the people of Delhi.

In view of the rising temperatures and heatwave, the Meteorological Department has advised people to exercise caution. Strong sunlight can especially affect children and the elderly. In such a situation, it is advised to leave the house only when absolutely necessary. It has been advised to avoid going out between 12 noon to 4 pm. At the same time, the health department has advised people to drink adequate amount of water. To avoid dehydration, people have been asked to wear cotton clothes and keep their heads covered.
