Manipur violence: The post-mortem reports of the remaining three victims of Manipur’s Jiribam massacre have revealed injuries and multiple bullet wounds. Officials gave this information on Wednesday. The post mortem report of two women and a child in the Jiribam murder case has already been released.
It is noteworthy that after an encounter with security forces on November 17, suspected Kuki militants had abducted three women and three children from Borobekara area of Jiribam district of Manipur. A few days later, their bodies were found in the Jiri River in Jiribam district and the nearby Barak River in Cachar, Assam.

The post-mortem of the remaining three victims of the Jiribam massacre was conducted at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. The post mortem report has revealed that the 10 month old child had serious injuries on his head and neck. Apart from this, there were also cut wounds and dislocation on the body. At the same time, there were many bloody wounds and serious injuries on the body of the 8 year old girl due to the bullet. The report described the 31-year-old woman, Telem Thoibi, as having crush injuries on her head, fractured skull bones and missing brain membranes.

Three days time given to find the missing person
Meanwhile, the Joint Action Committee (JAC), formed after a person went missing in Manipur, staged a protest in Imphal West district on Wednesday and demanded the search of the missing person within three days. Police gave this information. The protest organized at Kanto Sabal was mainly attended by protesters from Sekmai constituency of Imphal West district and raised slogans demanding the safe release of Laishram Kamalbabu, who has been missing since Monday.
JAC convenor Ratan Kumar Singh told reporters, ‘We demand that Kamalbabu be handed over to us within three days from Wednesday, otherwise an intense agitation will be launched.’ Kamalbabu went missing on Monday while going to Leimakhong military camp. Chief Minister N Biren Singh had said that Kamalbabu used to make furniture for army officers. Family members claimed that Kamalbabu might have been kidnapped by Kuki militants.
