‘Government should not ignore the demands’
Under the Delhi Chalo movement, thousands of farmers are today trying to move towards Delhi from the border of Punjab and Haryana. The main demands of the farmers in the movement are legal guarantee of MSP and withdrawal of agricultural laws. Farmer organizations have made it clear that they are protesting peacefully, but if their demands are ignored, their movement may intensify. Police have stopped the farmers at Shambhu border. Police say that the farmers do not have permission to go ahead. However, the farmers have said that they are free to demonstrate.
What did Shivraj Singh Chauhan say about MSP in Parliament?

This announcement is a sign of relief for those farmers who have been demanding legal guarantee of MSP for a long time. He said that the government will make every possible effort to protect the interests of farmers.
