The person accused of cutting Mahalaxmi into 59 pieces committed suicide by hanging himself! His body was found hanging from a tree

Bengaluru Murder Case: The prime suspect in the murder of 29-year-old woman Mahalakshmi in Bengaluru hanged himself in Odisha on Wednesday (September 25). Muktirajan Pratap Ray, the prime suspect in the Mahalakshmi murder case, was found dead near Bhuinpur village in Odisha’s Bhadrak district in the morning.

Last week on Saturday, the police found Mahalakshmi’s body inside the refrigerator in her house in Vinayak Nagar, Bengaluru. The police had formed special teams to nab the accused and they considered Muktirajan Pratap Ray as the main suspect. Bengaluru DCP (Central) Shekhar H. Tekkannavar said that Pratap Ray had committed suicide.

Why did Muktirajan commit suicide?

According to police in Odisha’s Dhusuri, Ray allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree. Police station in-charge officer Shantanu Kumar Jena said that he received information about the suicide and identified the deceased as Ray. Initial police investigation has revealed that Muktirajan decided to commit suicide to escape police arrest.
