Himachal Pradesh News: This time there was normal rainfall in Himachal Pradesh during the monsoon season. Despite this, the state government had to suffer a loss of Rs 1,360 crore. The Public Works Department suffered the most loss in Himachal Pradesh. This time the Public Works Department has suffered a loss of about Rs 633 crore. Similarly, Jal Shakti Department suffered a loss of about Rs 540 crore. The Agriculture Department has suffered a loss of Rs 132 crore, the Horticulture Department has suffered a loss of Rs 139 crore, the Energy Department has suffered a loss of Rs 98.91 crore and the Animal Husbandry Department has suffered a loss of Rs 3.25 crore.

342 people died in a span of three months

In the span of three months from June 27 to September 27, 342 people lost their lives. Apart from this, 535 people were also injured in different incidents. Out of the total 342 deaths in the state, 156 deaths occurred in different road accidents. In Himachal Pradesh, nine people died due to landslides and flash floods, 25 due to cloud burst, 34 due to drowning, one due to lightning, 29 due to snake bite, 45 due to falling from the hill and 60 in other incidents. .

54 incidents of cloud burst and flash floods were reported in Himachal Pradesh from June 27 to September 17. Apart from this, landslides also occurred at 47 places. 32 people lost their lives due to cloud burst and flash flood. In these incidents, 33 people went missing and 83 houses were completely damaged. 38 houses in the state were also partially damaged. Apart from this, 17 shops and 23 animal shelters also got affected. 149 animals also died due to cloud burst and flash flood. At the same time, five people died and six were injured due to landslides.
