After the end of the 16th season of IPL, now CSK team CEO Kashi Vishwanathan has praised captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Dhoni continued to play despite suffering from his knee throughout the 16th season and was also successful in making the team the champion for the 5th time.
Just after the end of the 16th season of IPL, Dhoni also got his knee surgery done, which after being completely successful, now Dhoni’s hopes of playing in the next season have increased once again. According to a report in News 18, Dhoni can be seen playing in the next season.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni also said after winning the title for the 5th time that he wants to play in the next IPL season. But all these things also depend a lot on his fitness. During the 16th season regarding Dhoni, the support of the fans was seen everywhere for him. After the surgery, it will take 2 to 3 months for Dhoni to be fully fit.
CSK team CEO also expressed hope of playing next season
Kashi Vishwanathan, CEO of the Chennai Super Kings team, said in his statement about Dhoni in ESPN Cricinfo that we never asked him such questions whether he wanted to play or not. If he didn’t want to play, he would have come straight and told us. We know that he was in a lot of trouble this season due to injury. But his commitment towards the team, his leadership and how the team benefits is known to all. From that point of view, you should appreciate him.
