Anti-BJP parties meeting to be held on June 12, 24 parties likely to attend

Opposition Meeting In Patna: Opposition parties will once again be seen gathering for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2024. Leaders of parties who want to oust BJP from power are going to hold a meeting in Patna. This meeting has been called by Janata Dal United (JDU) on June 12, in which 24 opposition parties are likely to participate. The party leadership has already discussed the plan with 18 parties, with the remaining parties to be consulted in a few days.

According to Times Now, the JDU leader said that there have been prolonged talks between various parties and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. At least 24 political parties are expected to participate in the opposition meet to be held in Patna on June 12. JDU has discussed with 18 parties, talks with the remaining 6 parties will be held in a few days.

Question on the face of PM’s post

Questions have been raised on the results of Nitish Kumar’s previous rounds of meetings with leaders of ‘like-minded’ parties. In which said whether they have been able to build a consensus on the methodology to counter the BJP? At the same time, wherever Nitish Kumar has gone during the meeting with the opposition leaders, the question of the face of the Prime Minister’s post also remains there. However, JDU does not care about the seat-sharing formula or who will be the prime ministerial candidate from the opposition.

The JDU leader insisted that who will be the face of the Prime Minister of the opposition or which party will get how many seats, it is a matter of later, but the first priority is to gather the opposition. He has expressed the hope that some solution will definitely emerge in this meeting. The JDU leader said, “After this meeting, efforts will be made to build a consensus. One or two top leaders from the opposition will be nominated to mediate the alliance who will take forward the talks with all non-BJP parties.”
