In fact, Singapore’s global real asset manager CapitaLand Investment said on Wednesday that its target is to more than double its funds under management in India to 7.4 billion Singapore dollars (about Rs 45000 crore) by 2028.

The real estate investment manager said the company has set a global target of 200 billion Singapore dollars in funds under management by 2028, which will also include investments in India. The company’s CEO Lee Chee Koon said, “There is a strong demand from global corporations and investors for the best real estate.” Koon said the company will also explore opportunities to enter the renewable energy and real estate private credit sectors in India.

Singapore company working in India for 30 years

CapitaLand Investments entered the Indian market 30 years ago. It built its first IT park in Bengaluru, which is today known as ‘International Tech Park Bengaluru’ (ITPB). Since then, CapitaLand Investments has built 14 business and IT parks across the country, spread over an area of ​​2.35 crore square feet. Most of the IT parks are located in big cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Gurgaon, where today 2.5 lakh people work.
