In a post, the army said, “Beware of rumours. Fake messages are being circulated on social media about a clash between Indian Army and PLA soldiers. This news is false and no such incident has taken place. All are requested to be cautious against fake news.” The post also shared screenshots of those posts which spread this rumour.
How did the rumour spread?
In fact, many users posted on Twitter that there was a clash between the army and PLA soldiers in the Burtse area of ​​​​eastern Ladakh. It was claimed that the clash took place at Pillar Point 12 in Ladakh. 14 soldiers from Garhwal and China were involved in this clash. When this rumor started spreading rapidly, the army came forward and denied it.
