Jammu Kashmir Assembly Election 2024: Amid the first phase of polling in Jammu and Kashmir, Rahul Gandhi has appealed to vote for the ‘INDIA’ alliance. Rahul Gandhi said that you should vote for ‘India’, we will bring the country out of the era of injustice.
Rahul Gandhi said that my brothers and sisters of Jammu and Kashmir, today the first phase of voting is being held in the state. For the first time in the history of the country, the status of a state has been taken away and it has been made a union territory. This is a violation of the constitutional rights of all of you, an insult to Jammu and Kashmir. Rahul Gandhi appealed to the people of Kashmir to vote for the India alliance and said that you should vote for ‘INDIA’, we will bring you out of the era of injustice.
Rahul Gandhi’s promise to the people of Kashmir
Rahul Gandhi said that every vote you cast for ‘INDIA’ will restore your rights. If the Congress alliance government is formed in Jammu and Kashmir, there will be a boom in employment. The vote cast for India will strengthen the women of Kashmir and bring you out of the ‘era of injustice’. Rahul Gandhi has promised the people of Jammu and Kashmir that if the Congress government is formed, Jammu and Kashmir will once again become a prosperous state. Rahul Gandhi said – today come out of your homes in large numbers and exercise your democratic rights and vote for ‘INDIA’.
Voting on 24 seats in the first phase
Actually, on 5 August 2019, Article 370 and 35A were removed from Jammu and Kashmir. Since then, Jammu and Kashmir lost its special status and was made a union territory. Elections are being held in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after the removal of Article 370. In the first phase, voting is going on in 24 seats of Jammu and Kashmir. During this, voters of 7 districts are exercising their franchise. A total of 219 candidates are in the fray for 24 seats. 60 people have withdrawn their nominations.
