The Kerala Story Controversy: The film ‘The Kerala Story’ remains in controversy. In West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has banned the film in the state. Despite this, now BJP has created a new ruckus by doing its special screening. The screening was organized at BJP’s Baruipur district office. During this, BJP’s North 24 Parganas District President Falguni Patra was present along with the workers of the women’s wing of the party.

Falguni Patra told reporters after watching the film, “We opted for a private screening following the statewide ban on the film. We screened it only inside the office to spread awareness and vigilance. Our intention was not to offend anyone.” was not.’

Patra said that he first learned about the law. People can view it privately. The film is being broadcast online. Many people have sent him links to download the film from different websites. To make the ban completely successful, these websites should be banned first.

Senior TMC leader Shashi Panja said that everyone has to understand why ‘The Kerala Story’ was banned. BJP’s agenda has been to promote division on the basis of religion, caste and politics of polarisation. Their understanding is only to reject Mamta Banerjee’s words.

Multiplex screening banned in Tamil Nadu

The film has been banned in West Bengal and multiplexes in Tamil Nadu have stopped screening it. While BJP ruled states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana have made it tax free. Sudipto Sen’s film ‘The Kerala Story’ claims how women from Kerala were forced to convert to Islam and sent to Syria to fight for the terrorist group Islamic State (IS).
