UP Politics: Samajwadi Party MLA Rakesh Singh and his associates assaulted the husband of Rashmi Singh, the BJP candidate for the post of Municipal President, inside the Gauriganj police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi district. The video of this incident has gone viral on social media. It can be seen in the video that the SP MLA takes out a pistol in front of Pulik at the police station.
In the viral video, SP MLA Rakesh Singh and his companions are seen beating up Deepak Singh, husband of Rashmi Singh, the BJP candidate for the post of municipality president, inside the Gauriganj police station premises. During this, if there is a scuffle with the police, the SP MLA takes out a pistol. After this the SP MLA says, “I will shoot myself by taking out the pistol.” Now this video of SP MLA is going viral on social media.

However, on Deepak Singh’s complaint, the police have registered an FIR against three-time Gauriganj MLA Rakesh Singh and 13 others. Rakesh Singh, his brother Umesh Singh and others under sections of the Indian Penal Code including 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 352 (assault and use of criminal force), 336 (endangering life or personal safety of others) FIR has been registered.
