Ved Prakash, chief of Congress’s ex-servicemen wing, passed away, Rahul Gandhi expressed grief

Ved Prakash Death: Major (retd) Ved Prakash, head of Congress’s ex-servicemen department, has passed away. From Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to former party president Rahul Gandhi and National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi have expressed grief over his death.

According to the news agency PTI, the information about his death was given by son Vipul Prakash. Vipul said, “My father suddenly collapsed at the Congress headquarters at around one o’clock today and suffered a head injury. He was taken to the hospital, however he died before reaching there. He told that Ved Prakash’s birthday was on Friday. He was 85 years old.

Rahul Gandhi expressed grief

Vipul said, “My father’s heart used to beat for the Congress and he had so much affection for the party that even at this age, he used to visit the Congress headquarters every day.” Whereas, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Organization general secretary KC Venugopal and some other party leaders expressed grief over the demise of Ved Prakash.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “The news of the demise of Major Ved Prakash ji, former President of the Congress Ex-Servicemen Organization and an important member of the Congress family, is sad. Always devoted to the country, Major Saheb’s death is an irreparable loss to the Congress family. I express my deepest condolences to his loved ones.

Priyanka Gandhi tweeted, “Received the sad news of the demise of Major Ved Prakash ji, dedicated to the ideology of the Congress and the chairman of the ex-servicemen department. Major Ved Prakash ji dedicated his entire life to the service of the country. His demise has caused an irreparable loss to the Congress family. May God give them a place in the holy feet and give courage to their family members to bear the suffering in this hour of grief.

He further wrote, “He played important roles in the past including running the war room in the All India Congress Committee and being in-charge of the North Eastern states. He had a deep understanding on Jammu and Kashmir and defense matters. Our heartfelt tribute to him and our deepest condolences to his family.
