Watch: Disaster fell from the mountain in Nagaland, rocks crushed 3 cars, 2 died

Nagaland Landslide Video: A car parked on the road was almost completely crushed by a huge rock that fell from a mountain due to a landslide on Tuesday (July 4) at Chumukedima in Nagaland’s Dimapur district. Another car parked nearby also came under its grip. In the blink of an eye, a big stone crushed another car standing in front.

The car in which the rock fell first, killed two people in it. Three people have been seriously injured in the incident. A five-second video of this entire incident is going viral. The video is disturbing. According to the news agency ANI, the police has confirmed this viral video.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio expressed grief

The horrific incident was captured in the dashboard camera of another vehicle parked behind on the road. Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed condolences on the accident. In a tweet, he said, “At about 5 pm today, rocks fell on the National Highway between Dimapur and Kohima causing serious damage, in which 2 people died and 3 others were seriously injured.” This place is always known as ‘Pakala Pahar’ which is known for landslides and falling of rocks.

In another tweet, Chief Minister Rio said, “The state government is taking all steps to provide emergency services.” An ex-gratia amount of Rs 4-4 lakh will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased and necessary medical aid and help will be provided to the injured.
