Generally, there are nine training institutes in the state to provide training to UP Police officers from constables. Among these, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Uttar Pradesh Police Academy located in Moradabad is the only police academy in the state where various types of training are given to sub-inspectors to IPS officers. Apart from this, Police Training College Moradabad and Sitapur, Armed Training Center Sitapur, Police Training School Moradabad, Gorakhpur, Unnao and Meerut and Recruit Training Center located in Chunar are included.

Generally, recruited constables get training in police training schools. Apart from this, there are a total of 33 district training centers in various PAC battalions and districts of the state, where basic training course is conducted to become a constable.

Long training starts after selection

Only after getting the appointment letter, recruited constables have to go through a long and difficult training to serve the public by becoming constables. There are many parts in this training in which apart from physical, mental, field training, weapons training, various types of situations are introduced through mock drills.
