Fraud in the name of online forex trading, looted Rs 1 crore from a 51 year old man, know the ways to avoid it

Forex Trading Scam: As much as Digital India is beneficial and convenient for the people, it has also become a big headache. Many fraudsters have come into the digital world, who keep making people victims of online fraud. Recently, a person was cheated in the name of Forex trading in Hyderabad. In which the person lost about Rs 1 crore.

Fraud in the name of Forex trading
Actually, a 51-year-old man living in Hyderabad, who is an employee in a private company, was cheated in the name of online forex trading. Whose complaint he has given to Cyberabad Police. In this complaint, the victim said that on March 9, he received a message on Telegram app. This message was sent by a fraudster, who revealed his name as Ronald Brown and tried to trap them in the name of investment. The accused described himself as associated with a stock trading company in London and promised to provide expert guidance in Forex trading.

cheating by luring
After this, the fraudster asked the victim to open trading accounts and invest money on websites like m.roewatson.com and m.ftmohub.cc, and also promised to earn more than $1,000 every day. Later, two women named Nisha and Harini contacted him, both of whom kept explaining to him about trading and kept asking him to invest large amounts again and again for more profits. After this, a bank account detail was sent to the victim and he was asked to deposit Indian Rupees in it, after which the victim transferred about Rs 1.08 crore between March 9 and April 20. He thought that these Indian rupees would be converted into dollars and would come to him but it did not happen.

When the victim tried to withdraw the money, the fraudsters demanded that he pay tax and conversion charges first. When he became suspicious, he checked the websites and found out that they were fake. After this a complaint was registered hurriedly. At present the police is busy investigating this matter.

• Do not share your personal information like OTP, banking details etc. with anyone.
• Before opening any online website, read its reviews on Google or any other platform.
• In case of any kind of doubt, immediately lodge a complaint with the cyber crime portal or the police.
