Apara Ekadashi – 13 May 2026 Wednesday

• Date – Ekadashi tithi of Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month will start on 12th May at 2.52 pm and will end the next day on 13th May at 1.29 pm.
• Muhurta – 5.32 am – 8.55 am
• fasting time – 5.31 am to 8.14 am (14 May 2026). Dwadashi ending time on Paran Tithi is 11:20 am
• Importance – Lord Shri Krishna, while explaining the importance of Apara Ekadashi to Dharmaraja Yudhishthir, said that this fast will destroy all sins. By doing this, a person gets the same results as Ashvamedha Yagya, pilgrimage bath and charity.

In Brahma Purana, the importance of Apara Ekadashi is described as follows- Apara Namni or Ekadashi Krishnapaksha Bhavet Nrip. Prokta Punyada Mokshadayini from all sins.

Meaning: Oh King! This Apara Ekadashi, which falls in the Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month, destroys all sins, bestows virtue and grants salvation.

• Date – The Ekadashi tithi of Jyeshtha Adhikamas Shukla Paksha will start at 5.10 am on 26 May 2026 and will end at 6.21 am the next day on 27 May.
• Pooja time – 5.25 am – 8.52 am
• Fast break time – 5.25 am – 7.56 am (28 May 2026)
• Importance – According to Skanda Purana – Adhe Masi Shuklayan Padmini naam sa smrita. The virtuous one who is free from all sins and is blessed with all the fruits of his life.

Meaning- This Padmini Ekadashi, which falls in the Shukla Paksha of Adhikamas, is destroyer of all sins, extremely virtuous and fulfills all wishes.

Result of performing Adhikamas Ekadashi

• Man gets the same results as Ashvamedha Yagya.
• Even big sins are destroyed
• Happiness, prosperity and good fortune increase in life.
• Moksha (liberation) is attained
