Why are women called Lakshmi?

Maa Lakshmi is not only the goddess of wealth. Rather, she has immense power and a storehouse of positive energy. Lakshmi ji is considered to be the energy of the universe. Therefore, the meaning behind calling women equal to Lakshmi in Hinduism is that, just as there is positivity in Maa Lakshmi, in the same way, positive energy comes to the house when a daughter is born or a new daughter-in-law arrives. Therefore, women have been given divine importance in Sanatan Dharma.

Why is Goddess Lakshmi worshipped only on Fridays? (Shukrawar Laxmi ji puja)

Although Maa Laxmi puja is performed regularly in every house. But in the scriptures, special days are dedicated to all the gods and goddesses. Friday is dedicated to the worship of goddesses. Therefore, on Fridays, there is a provision to worship Maa Santoshi, Maa Durga, Vaibhav, Mahalakshmi as well as Venus. This is the reason why Friday is considered auspicious for the worship of Maa Lakshmi and her forms and on this day, there is a provision to worship and fast for Goddess Lakshmi.
