Vishwakarma Puja 2024: Vishwakarma Puja will be celebrated on 17 September with full rituals. On this day, the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma, who created the universe, is celebrated and he is worshipped. All the labourers and skilled workers working on machines worship their machines as well as Lord Vishwakarma. Astrologer Dr. Anish Vyas said that Vishwakarma Puja of Lord Vishwakarma, who is called the first engineer of the universe, will be celebrated on 17 September.

According to the scriptures, he had made the trident of Lord Shiva and the Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Vishnu. This is the reason why weapons are worshipped on Vishwakarma Jayanti.

Every year in the month of Bhadrapada, when the Sun leaves the Leo and enters the Virgo zodiac, Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated. But this time there is confusion in people’s minds about 16 September. This time the Sun is entering the Virgo zodiac on the evening of 16 September at 7:29 minutes. Therefore, Vishwakarma Jayanti will be celebrated the next day i.e. on 17 September.

Vishwakarma Puja is performed with full rituals in Bihar, Bengal and Jharkhand as well as Uttar Pradesh. On this day, skilled workers like carpenters, electricians or people associated with other technical fields also offer food and prasad to Lord Vishwakarma and worship him.
