Akhilesh Yadav’s statement after voting ended in UP, said- BJP misused governance and administration

National President of Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has said that today voters voted overwhelmingly in favor of Samajwadi Party India alliance in the assembly by-elections. The way BJP has misused governance on the day of voting is a mockery of democracy. BJP made every effort to influence the elections through every conspiracy and conspiracy, however the voters had made up their mind to defeat the BJP and make the Samajwadi Party candidates win.

SP Chief said that the voters upset with the tactics of the BJP government were indifferent in voting while the voters supporting the Samajwadi Party India alliance were enthusiastic. Inflation, corruption and injustice are at their peak under the BJP government. Farmers, youth, students, businessmen all are worried. Every section of the society is troubled and angry due to the rampant looting. In such a situation, BJP’s defeat is certain. The people are suffering due to the oppressive actions of BJP. The public has stood up to give a befitting reply to the BJP’s conspiracy of intimidation and depriving people of voting.

The former CM said that Yadav said that Samajwadi Party workers and supporters have been misbehaved at many places. BJP people kept creating nuisance at polling places. Voting was conducted at a slow pace in many places. There were also complaints of malfunction in EVMs. There were reports of fake voting at many places in Karhal. There were many complaints of stopping Muslim voters. Many booth agents were taken away by the police. Destroyed their bags. At many places, BJP’s bullies created an atmosphere of fear.

Akhilesh Yadav said that at some places some officers were also seen to be supporters of BJP. Meerapur’s Kakrauli police station chief was seen terrorizing women with a pistol for not voting. In Karhal, Samajwadi Party candidate Tej Pratap Yadav inspected many polling places. Samajwadi Party is contesting the by-elections on 9 seats. Samajwadi Party candidates are leading everywhere.

Akhilesh Yadav said that BJP wants to remain in the government by suppressing democracy and the Constitution, whereas in a democracy the government runs on public shame. BJP is expert in sabotaging free and fair elections. The Election Commission is also not able to show transparency in discharging its duties. The public is aware and they themselves are protesting for their rights. The victory will be his.
