‘Dawood has placed a BOMB’, received threat to bomb Mumbai’s Taj Hotel; Police engaged in investigation

There has been a bomb threat in Mumbai’s Taj Hotel. After a bomb threat was received at Mumbai’s famous Taj Hotel at midnight on Sunday (July 12), police investigation has been intensified in the control room. A man called Navi Mumbai Police Control at 12.13 am and said, “Dawood has planted a bomb in the Taj Hotel.”

After this this information was given to Mumbai Main Control Room. As soon as the information was received, Colaba Police, Crime Scene Investigation Team and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) immediately reached Taj Hotel.

Emergency checking after receiving threat

After receiving the threat, counter-emergency checking was conducted at the hotel’s main lobby, swimming pool, different halls, restaurant, parking, outside areas and other sensitive places. No suspicious object or explosive was found during the inspection.

Technical investigation revealed that the threatening call was made from Turbhe area. On the basis of this number, the police have started searching for the suspect and with the help of Turbhe Police Station, work is going on to trace the caller.

Security agency alert after threatening call

Security agencies are on alert mode after receiving a bomb threat in Taj Hotel. The agencies are collecting information about the person making the call. The police are taking precautions in view of this incident. Movement in the area around the hotel is being monitored. According to the police, there is no information about any suspect being found.

The investigating agency started investigating the hotel regarding this. However, the team has not found anything. Now the police has started investigation to trace that phone call. Let us tell you that a few months ago also the hotel staff had received such a threatening call. At present, after this incident, the security of Taj Hotel has been tightened. Police force has been deployed.
