During this, the mayor also got angry at the police and said that if they were released, she would get the entire police station suspended.
The video of this entire matter is also going viral on social media, on the other hand, the police have taken samples of the caught meat and sent it for investigation and have started interrogating the Imam by taking him into custody. Whereas local people have also expressed anger over this incident.

According to the information, Mayor Sunita Dayal was passing through Hindon Barrage near Kanavani in Indirapuram in her car. He saw two children throwing some items in a plastic bag into the river. After which he stopped and asked, when the children told that it contained cow meat. So the mayor made a video and informed the police.
The police reached the spot and started questioning. The mayor expressed his displeasure with the local police and said that if the accused were released, he would get the entire police station suspended. The Mayor said that local people have reported such incidents happening before.
Police started investigation
In this case, the police said that the meat that was being thrown has been taken into custody and its sample has been sent for investigation. Also, the Imam of the madrassa that the children had mentioned has been taken into custody. ACP Abhishek Srivastava said that the entire matter is being investigated. Further action will be taken after receiving the report.
