JEE Advanced 2023 practice test paper released by IIT Guwahati, know when will you get admit card

IIT Entrance Exam Date: IIT Guwahati has released the practice test papers of Paper-1 and Paper-2 for the prestigious JEE-Advanced-2023 entrance exam. Education expert Dev Sharma said that practice test papers are very important for the students. Through these, students can better assess their own preparation. JEE Advanced is to be organized on June 4. Admit-cards for the above entrance test will be issued on May 29 at 10 am.

In which colleges do you get admission through this exam?

About 16-thousand seats are available for admission to B.Tech, Integrated-M.Tech and dual-degree courses in 23-IITs of the country.Dev Sharma said that students need to have the mindset of JEE-Mains to succeed in the above-mentioned prestigious entrance examination. Will have to drop out because there is no compulsion of individual subject cutoff for success in JEE-Main but there is compulsion of individual-subject cutoff for success in JEE-Advanced.

What is the requirement of Individual-Subject Cutoff?
JEE-Advanced-2023 entrance exam is different from JEE Mains-2023 in many ways. Students must understand this difference. Dev Sharma said that while the individual-subject cutoff in JEE-Mains does not affect the exam-result, on the other hand it is mandatory to clear the individual-subject cutoff in JEE-Advanced. If the student obtains less than the individual subject cutoff marks in any one of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, then he/she will be declared failed. The success of the student will be determined on the basis of aggregate-cutoff only after clearing the individual-subject cutoff and The subject wise cutoff for general category students is 10% and aggregate cutoff is 35%, for EWS and OBC it is 9% and 31.5% respectively, for SC, ST and Divyang students only 5% and 17.5% .

The pattern of integer and question paper changes every year
Dev Sharma said that JEE-Advanced pattern and marks are not pre-determined like JEE-Mains and NEET-UG exams, marks and question paper-pattern keep changing every year. There is negative marking in some parts of the question-paper. So there is no negative marking in some parts. This is the reason why students are advised to carefully read the instruction given at the beginning of the question paper. According to the information, the subject-wise cutoff for general-category students has been fixed at 10 per cent and the aggregate cut-off at 35 per cent. This means that the general-category student must secure at least 10 per cent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics i.e. each subject and a total of 10 per cent marks in aggregate. Overall aggregate marks must be 35%. If a student scores more than 35% in aggregate but his marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are less than 10% in any subject, then that student will be declared unsuccessful.

Take care of time management and subject management
Dev Sharma told that clearing both individual-subject cut-off and aggregate cut-off is mandatory to get a place in the Common Rank List-CRL. Take special care of the subject management so that they clear both the individual-subject cutoff and aggregate cutoff and get the eligibility to appear in the common rank list.
