Many sensational revelations have come to light in the investigation into the suspicious death of 11 year old Divyansh Dwivedi in Lucknow’s Gurukul. Initial investigation has confirmed indications of inhuman treatment, beating and torture of children inside the Gurukul. The police have arrested the main accused operator Saurabh Mishra along with his close female friend Harshita Soni in this case.
11 year old Divyansh, resident of Garia village of Maharajpur area of Kanpur, died under suspicious circumstances. His body was found outside his house on 22 April. Divyanshu was given Vedic education by his father. Lucknow Was sent to Gurukul. Many revelations have been made during the investigation of this case.
The accused did not talk to anyone
A woman living near the Gurukul told that they lived here but they had no idea what was happening inside. “If any child had told us, perhaps the matter would have come to light earlier. We did not think that a person could become so brutal in a single night.”
The woman said that about 10-12 children lived here and the Gurukul was operating for the last 6 months. The owner of the house was someone else, while the person living in it was different. “We tried to talk once or twice. But, Kanhaiya (Gurukul director) never talked properly. He always had an aloof and arrogant attitude.
The child was stripped and beaten with sticks.
According to police sources, two CCTV footages found during the investigation captured the incident of stripping an 11-year-old child and beating him with sticks. This clearly indicates that children were punished mercilessly for small mistakes in Gurukul. Sources say that the accused also used to make children do inhuman work. His daily routine included cleaning the water tank in the scorching heat, not allowing fans to work in the rooms and giving constant physical punishment.
At present, the police have ruled out the possibility of foul play, but the post-mortem and forensic reports are awaited. Initial investigation has also revealed that the childhood of accused Saurabh alias Kanhaiya was spent in very harsh conditions. According to the police, he did not get his father’s love in his childhood and had to face beatings and scolding on small matters. This is why his nature became aggressive.
Female friend accused of destroying evidence
Police have also arrested Harshita Soni, a close female friend of the accused. Investigation has revealed that Saurabh had called him to Gurukul on the morning of 22nd April. Harshita herself helped the accused in sending him to Kanpur by booking a taxi through the app. Not only this, he is also accused of destroying evidence by breaking the CCTV cameras and Wi-Fi routers installed in the Gurukul. The police have registered a case against him under several sections including destroying evidence.
In this whole matter, another child living in Gurukul has also given important information to the police. The child narrated how Divyansh was brutally tortured, which eventually led to his death.
