Then the woman herself committed suicide by hanging herself. The investigating officer said that all the five bodies have been kept in the mortuary of the hospital for postmortem. Mandali police station officer Kamlesh said that 27-year-old Urmila, a resident of Baliawas village, put her four children Bhavana (8 years), Vikram (5 years), Vrinda (3 years) Manisha (2 years) in a grain drum and closed the lid of the drum. Police told that at the time of this incident, the woman’s husband Jetharam had gone to Balesar in Jodhpur for wages. Jetharam’s relatives told the police that when Urmila and her children were not seen in the evening, Jetharam’s relatives living nearby reached her house. Relatives saw Urmila hanging on the noose. When the relatives searched for the children, they were surprised to see that all four innocent children were found dead inside the grain drum kept in the house. After this, the relatives informed the police about the matter, the police reached the spot and kept 5 dead bodies in the mortuary of the hospital.

Mandali police station officer said that prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide after the woman killed her children by putting them in a grain drum due to estrangement between husband and wife.
