Mutha river in Pune, Maharashtra is in spate, possibility of rain in many areas, what is the IMD update

Maharashtra Weather News: Due to the southwest monsoon in Maharashtra, heavy rains have been occurring in different districts of the state for the last several days. After heavy rains, due to the release of water from the Khadakvasla dam, many areas including Ekta Nagar in Pune were flooded. Mutha river is in spate. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain today in the Ghat areas of Central Maharashtra including Konkan and other areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon is active in North Madhya Maharashtra and North Konkan. Due to the monsoon, rain is expected at most places in Konkan Goa, North Madhya Maharashtra. Heavy rainfall is also expected at different places in Konkan and Goa districts. The Meteorological Department has asked people to remain alert in view of the possibility of rain.

Mumbai will remain cloudy

Mumbai will be cloudy during the day on Tuesday. There may be drizzle at some places. The maximum temperature of the day in Mumbai is forecast to be 29 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of partial fluctuations in temperature till August 11.

It rained heavily in these areas

In Maharashtra, on May 5, Dharmabad in Nanded received 3 mm of rain, Biloli 3, Loha 2 and Umri received 1 mm of rain. Similarly, 3 mm of rain was recorded in Khultabad in Sambhajinagar district, 2 in Chakur in Latur district and 1 in Ahmedpur and 1 mm of rain was also recorded in Dharashiv district.

NDRF and local administration are on alert

CM Eknath Shinde on Monday inspected the flood-affected areas of Pune after releasing water from the Khadakvasla dam. During this, he also interacted with the common people. After this, CM Shinde visited the Khadakvasla dam to review the release of water from the reservoir. He also held a meeting regarding the flood in Pune. At present, teams of Army, NDRF, civil administration are deployed in Pune.

Food and drink is being provided to the people affected by the flood. CM Eknath Shinde Has given instructions to take action against those who dump debris and other construction material in Mutha river.
