While giving its verdict on Sidhu’s petition, the Punjab-Haryana High Court has directed the state government to take a decision on Sidhu’s security within a month, assessing the threat to his life. At the same time, the court said that this is the subject of the state government, so the court should have minimum interference in it.

Sidhu had filed a petition to increase security
Actually Navjot Singh Sidhu had filed a petition in the court to increase his security, he said in the petition that after assessing the threat to his life, the central government had given him Z plus security, one year sentence in the road rage case After his security was withdrawn, he was assured that his security would be restored when he returned from jail, but this was not done and his security was cut. Please tell that earlier Sidhu used to have a convoy of 25 commandos, but now after getting Y category security, his convoy has been reduced to 13 commandos.

The state government was targeted for reducing security
Sidhu had lashed out at the Punjab government for the security cut, saying that he had received death threats several times, and gangster Lawrence Vishnoi had also threatened him. In such a situation, the Punjab government wants to cut down his security and get him killed like Sidhu Musewala.

No threat input on Sidhu – Punjab government
On the other hand, the Punjab government, on the demand of restoring Z-plus security of Sidhu, said that according to the central investigative agencies and Punjab’s Special DGP Internal Security, Sidhu has no threat input from any terrorist or gangster organizations operating in the country.
