Priyanka Chaturvedi’s big statement on CJP’s protest, ‘This movement did not happen suddenly, Rahul Gandhi…’

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi on Sunday (July 19) launched a scathing political attack on the Modi government at the Centre. He raised serious questions on the government’s intentions and accountability regarding the paper leak controversy, agitation by student organizations, disrupted monsoon session, opposition’s demonstration outside the Prime Minister’s residence and the Ram Mandir donation issue. Priyanka Chaturvedi alleged that the government is running away from fixing accountability on important issues of the country and is completely ignoring the concerns of the youth.

‘Ram Mandir is considered an election opportunity, not faith’

Citing the recent comment of the Supreme Court in the Ram Mandir donation theft case, Priyanka raised questions on the investigation of the current SIT. He said, “When the current investigation itself is being questioned, then why is there talk of a new SIT? Why is this entire case not being investigated under the supervision of the CBI or a sitting judge of the Supreme Court?”

He alleged that BJP Ram Mandir It was used more as a political and electoral opportunity than as a matter of faith. Those who are accused of irregularities are getting alleged political protection, due to which a fair investigation is not being conducted.

‘Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign’

Talking about the demonstration of CJP and student organizations in Delhi, Priyanka Chaturvedi said that this movement did not happen suddenly. Opposition, Congress, NSUI and Rahul Gandhi have been raising the voice of students for a long time. He said, “The basic demand of all the organizations is the same – Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s accountability should be fixed and he should resign. The youth should be assured that the examination system will be completely fair and safe.”

‘Monsoon session disrupted due to government’s arrogance’

Priyanka Chaturvedi blamed the government for the unruly monsoon session of Parliament. He said that if the government had fixed accountability in time and taken the resignation of the Education Minister, then Parliament could have functioned smoothly. He also mentioned the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) paper leak in Maharashtra and said that it is also suspected to be linked to the same alleged paper leak network. The government chose the path of arrogance instead of dialogue, due to which the opposition had to take to the streets.

Demonstration outside PM residence: ‘Extraordinary situation for democracy’

Strongly condemning the use of lathi charge and tear gas on protesting students by Delhi Police, Priyanka justified the opposition’s protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence. He said, “This is an extraordinary situation for democracy when two sitting Chief Ministers and senior opposition leaders (Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge) are sitting on a dharna outside the Prime Minister’s residence. The voice of the students is not reaching the government, so this step had to be taken to wake them up.”

Priyanka Chaturvedi finally said that it has been more than two months since the paper leak issue, but the central government has not taken any concrete steps. Students are leaving studies and are frustrated, but the government is continuously ignoring their voice.
