MP Jal Jeevan Mission: Jal Jeevan Mission, an important scheme was brought by the government to get tap water in Madhya Pradesh, but due to the tortoise move of the scheme, the intention of the government could not be realized. The situation is that there are no arrangements for drinking water in more than 18 thousand government schools of Madhya Pradesh. Same is the condition of Anganwadis also.

Jal Jeevan Mission was run as an important scheme across the country, the objective of which was to make the basic facility of drinking water easily available to the people. Under this, the government had to ensure the availability of adequate drinking water in schools and Anganwadi centers as well, but the situation in Madhya Pradesh is completely opposite. There are more than 18000 schools in Madhya Pradesh in which even today there is no arrangement for drinking water, due to which the school children have to face a huge problem.

23 thousand Anganwadis also untouched
It should be known that there are more than 23 thousand Anganwadi centers in Madhya Pradesh where there is no arrangement for drinking water. Because of which innocent children and Anganwadi workers have to bear the brunt. According to the data received from the sources, till May 31, only 174 schools and Anganwadis have been able to reach water under the Jeevan Mission. The situation is that where there is a tap, there is no water and where there may be water, there is no tap. The situation is worse than bad because no responsible person who takes care of these facilities is ready to do anything. When this is the condition of Jal Jeevan Mission in the schools and Anganwadi centers which are going to make the future of Madhya Pradesh, then it can be guessed that what will be the condition of Jal Jeevan Mission in other areas of the state.

When the media discussed with Principal Secretary PHE Sanjay Kumar Shukla in this regard, he told that arrangements for drinking water have been made in more than 65 percent Anganwadis in Madhya Pradesh under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Water has also been supplied to about 80 percent of the schools. There are problems at some places, which we are constantly trying to remove. Along with this, many responsibilities related to this subject are made by the school administration, which is in their hands to fulfill.
