According to the information given by the company, Rs 699 per month will have to be paid for the verification of Facebook, Instagram. Right now this service will be available only to mobile users. Meta will also bring it to the web in the coming days.

Rs 599 to be paid on the web

Giving this information in a statement on Wednesday, Meta said that it is planning to launch verified service on the web in the next few months at Rs 599 per month. The company said in a statement, “The Meta Verified service is available for purchase on Instagram or Facebook in India. People can buy this service on iOS and Android at the rate of Rs 699 per month. In a few months we will also introduce the web version option at Rs 599 per month.”

Must verify with official ID

To avail the service of verified account, Facebook and Instagram users will have to verify their (Facebook or Instagram) account with a government ID card. Microblogging platform Twitter started charging a monthly fee for a verified account.
