Now Khaleda Zia’s Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has issued a threat against India. BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has demanded the extradition of Sheikh Hasina.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the extradition of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is necessary to start a new chapter in the relations between India and Bangladesh. If this does not happen, bilateral relations may deteriorate further due to Hasina’s presence in India. Actually, the BNP General Secretary was saying all this in an interview. He also said that after his party comes to power, the Adani power deal signed during Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League rule will be reviewed.

The BNP leader also said that he wishes for strong relations with India. BNP will not allow any kind of activities against India’s security in Bangladesh. He described the attacks on Hindus as an internal matter and said that the reports of attacks on Hindus are definitely false, as they are politically motivated. The BNP leader believes that if India does not extradite Sheikh Hasina, the relations may deteriorate further.

The leader of Khaleda Zia’s Bangladesh Nationalist Party said that if we come to power, we will try to build strong relations with India and resolve past differences. Sheikh Hasina and Awami League deserve criticism in Bangladesh. In such a situation, India is spoiling its image by supporting them. He claimed that even in such a situation, if India supports Sheikh Hasina, then resentment against India will increase in Bangladesh, this will further worsen the relations.
