The continuous increase in such incidents has forced Beijing to warn that it will take all possible steps to protect its citizens.

Beijing’s proposal and Pakistan’s response
Beijing has sent a detailed proposal to Islamabad, demanding the deployment of China’s own security agencies for the protection of Chinese citizens. This proposal also includes increasing cooperation between the military and security agencies of the two countries for anti-terrorism operations and joint attacks. The purpose of this provision is to strengthen the security of Chinese projects and citizens in Pakistan.

However, Pakistan has expressed disagreement on this proposal. Pakistani officials say that their security agencies are already committed to the security of China’s projects and citizens. He said that deploying any external security agency in Pakistan is not only against their national sovereignty, but it will also affect the regional security balance.

Joint security management talks
According to sources, talks are going on between Beijing and Islamabad regarding security management. The purpose of this conversation is to increase coordination between the security agencies of the two countries. Pakistan agrees that Chinese officials can participate in security meetings and coordination operations, so that the security agencies of the two countries can work together. But till now Pakistan has not formally accepted the proposal of deployment of Chinese security agencies.
