Pakistani National Arrested: A major conspiracy to kill many leaders including former US President Donald Trump has failed. A Pakistani citizen has been arrested in New York City, who had come to America to kill leaders. This person has connections with the government of Iran, which considers the US as its enemy. According to court documents, the Justice Department has accused the arrested person of conspiring to commit political murders and having links with the Iranian government.

According to a CNN report, the security of former President Donald Trump and other officials has been beefed up immediately after the arrest of the Pakistani man. However, Trump’s name is not clearly mentioned in the criminal complaint. But many sources have confirmed that Trump was also the target of the Pakistani man. The former President was recently attacked when bullets were fired at him during a rally. Fortunately, the bullet grazed his ear instead of hitting him.

Asif Raza came to America to kill politicians

According to court documents, a federal complaint filed in Brooklyn reveals that the arrested man’s name is Asif Merchant. 46-year-old Asif is also known as Asif Raza Merchant. The complaint accuses Asif of committing murders for money in connection with a failed plot to assassinate politicians or US officials on US soil.

According to a press release issued by the FBI, Asif was caught before he could carry out any major conspiracy in America. The Pakistani man is currently in federal custody in New York.

The people to whom Asif was paying for the murder turned out to be FBI agents

The people Asif Raza hired to commit the murder were FBI agents. Christy Curtis, acting assistant director of the FBI New York Field Office, said, “Fortunately, the assassins whom Asif Merchant allegedly tried to hire to commit the murder were secret FBI agents. This case underscores the dedication and efforts of our agents, analysts and prosecutors in New York, Houston and Dallas.”

“Acting on behalf of others abroad, Merchant plotted to assassinate U.S. government officials on U.S. soil,” said U.S. Attorney Brion Peace for the Eastern District of New York. “This prosecution demonstrates that this office and the U.S. Department of Justice will take swift and decisive action to protect our nation’s security, our government officials, and our citizens from foreign threats.”
