Protests against Kolkata rape case from London to America, doctors made this demand

Kolkata Rape Case : The case of rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata is now being protested in foreign countries as well. After this brutality, people are pleading for justice all over the world. In protest, people outside the British Parliament in London appealed for justice. Some had flowers in their hands for tribute while others had brought candles. According to India Today’s report, everyone demanded strict punishment for the accused.

Demonstrations from Britain to America
Dr. Deepti Jain, in-charge of the doctors’ committee in Britain, said that we never thought that we would have to protest like this. The Kolkata incident is very emotional. We are all protesting to demand justice. Doctors are gathering in 16 cities of Britain and demanding justice. She also told that such protests are also being held in many areas of America. She said that we will continue our demand for justice and women’s safety. Another female doctor said that we have all been trained in Kolkata hospitals. We thought that hospitals are safe premises. My mother used to say that do not come home at midnight, because it is not safe to work. At that time, only hospitals were considered safe, but now such incidents are happening inside hospitals as well.

‘Can’t put it into words’
Many doctors involved in the protest also expressed their views. They demanded strict action from the Indian government. One person said that he never thought that such an incident could happen in Kolkata. My wife has studied from the same RG Kar Medical College.
