Zakir Naik public lectures in Pakistan: Controversial Islamic preacher and India’s wanted fugitive Zakir Naik is going to visit Pakistan on the invitation of the Shahbaz Sharif government. Next month he will give public lectures in many Pakistani cities. Naik has given information about this on his official social media page, he will hold public meetings in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi along with his son Fariq Naik.
Naik’s Pakistan tour will begin from Karachi on October 5 and end in Islamabad on October 20. After Naik received the invitation from the Pakistani government, it is expected that the Chief Ministers of Karachi and Lahore will welcome him. He may also meet Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad.
Naik is a wanted fugitive in India who has been living in Malaysia for many years. The NIA has registered several cases against Naik accusing him of indulging in illegal activities and promoting religious hatred. However, Zakir enjoys widespread support in Pakistan. Naik’s preferred destination after leaving India was Pakistan.
“Sharia teaches us to accept smaller losses to avoid bigger losses,” Naik said in a recent interview.
Zakir’s visit to Pakistan next month will once again strengthen New Delhi’s claims that the Pakistan government welcomes and provides facilities to India’s most wanted fugitives and criminals.
Political analyst Kamran Yusuf said, “Dr Naik’s visit will be a major event in Pakistan. India has already been claiming that Pakistan is a safe haven for Osama bin Laden, Hafiz Saeed, Dawood Ibrahim and others with anti-India agenda. Now that Naik will be welcomed in the country, it will strengthen India’s allegations against Pakistan.
