Peshawar: An official warning has been issued to government employees in Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. It has been warned that they should not take part in the protest proposed by the party of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday and should not use the government machinery, otherwise they will have to face serious consequences.

The Home Ministry, through a letter, directed the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to ensure that “state machinery, equipment, officers and funds” are not used “for political opposition by any political party”.
