Students expressed their pain

Mehakdeep Singh, a student facing deportation, spoke to the media through City News Toronto. Singh said, “I took risks for six years to come to Canada. Studied, worked, paid taxes and got CRS scores but now it seems like the government took advantage of me.”

According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), about 3,60,000 permits can be approved in the year 2024, which is about 35% less than last year. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also said on Monday (August 26) that the number of foreigners doing temporary jobs in Canada will be reduced.
