However, now an interim government has been formed in the country. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Army Chief revealed that he has given shelter to some influential people of the ousted Hasina-led government.

Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman on Wednesday (August 14) revealed that he gave shelter to some influential people of the previous Awami League government. So that any kind of attack on them could be prevented. On the issues of minorities, the Bangladesh Army Chief said that so far a total of 30 attacks related to minorities have taken place in 20 districts. He said, we are investigating the incidents. We will bring the culprits to justice and punish everyone.

Bangladesh Police- Army Chief is still in shock

Army Chief Waqar-uz-Zaman said that if any allegation is made against them and a case is registered, they will be punished. But we do not want to attack them. We have given them shelter because of the threat to their lives. He said that the situation has become normal now. But the police is still in shock. Once this is over, the police will be able to perform their duties properly again.

At the same time, this statement of Bangladesh Army Chief Waqar-uz-Zaman has come at a time when former Law Minister Anusul Haque and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Private Industry and Investment Affairs Advisor Salman F. Rahman have been arrested in Dhaka. Whereas, former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud and former State Minister Junaid Ahmed were arrested from Dhaka airport last week. However, then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post and left the country and came to India.

Awami League party MPs left the country, hid in several safe places

After which many big leaders, MPs and cabinet ministers of the Awami League party have left the country. Whereas, many other ministers have left their government or private residences.
