Zakir Naik News: Islamic preacher Zakir Naik is often surrounded by controversies due to his statements. Now he is facing criticism in Pakistan due to his recent statements. Especially his statements on women are provoking anger among Pakistani women. The latest controversy started when Zakir Naik, while answering the question of a class 10 student in an event, called virgin girls marketers and compared them to public property.

During a program, a 10th class girl asked Zakir Naik why men are allowed four marriages in Islam. On this, Zakir said that this is for the safety of women, because people look at unmarried girls in a wrong light. Zakir also said that the society views women who go out without a man as marketable or public property.

Pakistani girls expressed their displeasure on Zakir Naik’s statement during a conversation with YouTuber Nimra Ahmed. One girl said that the way the question of a class 10 student was answered was very wrong. He also said that Zakir Naik does not understand how to talk to children and how to make them understand. Another girl said that Zakir Naik’s statement regarding girls being on public property is very shameful. He also added that Zakir should at least think about the girls, sisters and daughters of his own family and before saying such things, he should understand what he is saying about someone else’s daughter.

This Muslim Preacher Zakir Naik believes there is no way an unmarried woman can be respected, if there are no single men available, she either has to marry an already married man to be respected or else she is public property.

Question on correct understanding of Islam
Pakistani girl termed Zakir Naik’s statement as wrong in relation to Islam. He said that Zakir Naik is against women’s freedom and work outside, which shows that he does not know the history of Islam. He gave the example that Prophet Mohammad’s wife Khadija was a successful businesswoman of her time. Zakir should follow his example and not make statements against girls.
