Pakistan Bus Accident in Iran: A bus going from Pakistan to Iraq has met with a road accident in Iran. 28 people have died in this accident. Apart from this, 23 people are reported to be injured. The condition of 14 of the injured is said to be critical. All the pilgrims on the bus were going to Iraq.
According to the official IRNA news agency, a local emergency service official Mohammad Ali Malekzadeh said that the accident occurred at midnight on Tuesday. The accident took place near the Dehshir-Taft checkpoint in Iran’s Yazd province. He said that 23 other people were injured in the accident, 14 of whom are in critical condition. There were 51 people on board the bus at the time of the accident.

All the pilgrims on the bus were going to Iraq to commemorate Arbaeen, which marks the 40th day of the death of a Shia saint in the 7th century. The death toll in this accident is expected to increase further. People are sharing videos of the road accident on social media. In the video, the bus is seen overturned, and dead bodies are lying on the road. People are seen screaming and shouting.

Pakistani pilgrims were going to Karbala
How the road accident happened has not been officially confirmed yet. Currently, brake failure is being reported as the reason for the accident on social media. This bus was going to Iraq from Larkana in Pakistan carrying pilgrims. The pilgrims were going to Karbala for Arbaeen. Every year Shia pilgrims from Pakistan go to Karbala. This is said to be the third bus accident involving Pakistani pilgrims.
Iran’s Red Crescent Society has reported 35 deaths and 15 injured. All the deceased are said to be from Larkana, Pakistan. According to an estimate, more than 25 thousand Shia pilgrims have entered Iran.
